That is funny, Harry - I was just having a conversation with a bunch of junior faculty members in my department over dinner, and the consensus seemed to be that Representations is the most consistently interesting journal out there.  It just goes to show how difficult it is to judge what the "word on the street" is about any of these places, even the best ones.
