I'm waiting for someone to post on the "venting thread" about people cluttering up the "comments on the HoF" thread with chatter about the "limericks" thread. - DvF

Perhaps we need a "Comments on the Limerick Thread" thread.

Surely a comment like that would go in the one-offs thread, wouldn't it?

Perhaps every thread should have a 'Comments on..." thread connected to it.  They would be like the  "One-offs Thread for Dummies."  Now that is a resource I could definitely use.

This would quickly lead to infinitely many threads.  We'd have the Limerick thread, then Comments On The Limerick Thread, and then Comments on the Comments On the Limerick Thread Thread, and then....

I wouldn't mind infinitely many threads on which to post, but unfortunately my time is only finite.  Poor planning there on somebody's part, I say.  :-)

For the record, I was joking, I do mind infinitely many threads and the search function might even work if we could cut back somehow.  I am certainly not going to take on the task of determining the rules for that though!

Well, now, you might think that, but we have a hard enough time getting people to not vent about real-world issues on the one-offs thread.  Do you really think we could get a concensus on venting about a thread?

If it's possible to re-title a thread once it's started (or start a new one and splice the old one to it) why not put "Venting (IRL)" and "One-Offs (CHE)" parentheticals in the title itself.

Then it would be more self-evident, and those who are newer might be properly directed at the fork in the road itself, instead of following their nose to Tibet before discovering it was the Amazon they'd gotten to.

Of course, ambiguity makes things more interesting sometimes....

A change of title only applies to that reply and direct replies; it doesn't create a new thread.  See this post's Subject, above.

Ah, OK.

I knew you could change it for your own post, but I figured there might be some Oz-behind-the-curtain way to do it on a more mega-level scale, that more well-informed characters than I would know of.

It's scary to think I might actually know as much about that as anyone else.

It's much more reassuring to think there are folks out there who know more.

Here is a great forum by which you can make your page rank higher so don't west your time and just post your Informative threads. If your own informative threads will be giving great information about Education like Computer, Internet, Software, Games and on many other topics if you things that there are many Categories left so just email me me. In case of using any bad slang and dirty language membership will be close immediately. But if you understand these all things so after your 20 good threads if they are related to education so you will be senior member of this forum.

I love that clicking on the quote link results in the "An Error Has Occurred" page.
