The scratchpad site has very old info, including missing some that was on the old wikihost site.  ANd some fields say "Field X was not vandalized on the old site, so it can be found in its original location"
Am I missing something here?

Some pages, like philosophy, are still on wikihost, and not linked to from scratchpad. You may have to search if they are not linked.

I guess it depends on the field.  Biology is active on scratchpad.  Some others never were vandalized and stayed on wikihost.  As long as the powers that vandalize did not get their way is all that matters to me! :)

Don't know if anyone will see this, but I've been trying to load up the new wikia scratchpad for academic job searches and about 4x in a row it has imploded my Safari program, just instanteously shuts down the entire program.  Wondering if anyone else has checked the site lately.

fellow forumites, some of the wikis have ossified....  if you have info for jobs (someone must know that someone got that T-T at the university of X...!), please update. Help the 'waiters' out.

thank you.

Anybody know what sorts of penalties are meted out for vandalizing wiki job search pages?  I assume the wiki site would ban the IP address of the user, but since the case in question also involves someone who used a campus computer, I suppose the IT people on that campus probably have guidelines about proper use of university computers.  Last year during the transition from old wiki to new wiki there was a bit of froth and hysteria about "Calling in the FBI!" and carting off the offenders to. . . perhaps Guantanamo or something.   But I imagine it isn't anything quite that dramatic.

site for academic people..

I totally agree!  My whole human anatomy loves it.  You might also try The Google.  It will probably help you find instructions about how to post a link.

Ok, just dropping in to say. . . I have no idea what happened above.  I'm not even sure I what I meant (I suppose I must have been responding to the deleted post).  What did angel say that got him/her surgically cut out of the wiki?
