Oh, come on. If we're talking numbers, let's admit that there are some posters (and possibly many lurkers) who would rather know bra sizes than IQs.

A few forumites were more than happy to provide that information on this thread from a couple of months ago:

http://chronicle.com/forums/index.php/topic,28905.60.html

And I thought I was shameless!

42 regular (sorry, closest I can come.  Collar size, if it helps, is ca. an 18).

No shame for me.

John Proctor, you've given me another idea in addition to another chance to make a SGPTRT.  Thanks!

We should all post our clothing, shoe, ring sizes, and scent preferences to make it easier for our forum colleagues to buy each other that perfect gift this holiday season.

I just bought some new perfume, and when I balked a bit at the price, the sales clerk suggested that I get a Special Someone (I swear she used capital letters) to buy it for me.

Why do people assume that just because I'm devastatingly beautiful (and brilliant and funny), I have Special People who buy me expensive things? Ah, the burden of being the perfect woman... people expect so much.

In reply to the original question of this thread, I've always been partial to science_expat's former tag line. Why, oh why, did you remove it, expat?

Oops! That should be expatinuk's tag line. Sorry, all.

I was just about to ask. ExPat's is a classic that came about after being unable to transfer her old moniker (with essential caps) to the new fora.

It's not procrastination. It's "just in time" delivery.

Maybe we should start using the sig line to post our GPA's, GRE (et. al.) scores, IQ's, and current TIAA-CREF balances?

But can you just imagine what values fym22 would claim?

I scored in the bottom 10 percentile of mechanical aptitude in high school. But I am not going to put that on my tagline.

However, it is a warning....Don't ask me how to fix your car's engine, or ask me to design your new house!

I DO get a Special Someone to buy my perfume... ME!!! I'm special and I'm someone.

It's also my birthday on Friday. So just to let all of y'all know. I like Chanel No. 5.

No no no... if women are to post bra size... we demand that men post shoe size. After all, we ALL know what that means!!!!

Well, I had the distinction of having the biggest head in my single sex high school  (I was afraid to say all girl high school in case that made some people upset, but we were definitely girls at the time).  This piece of information was discovered when being measured for graduation hat and robes.  It must be true because I cannot find a hat that will stay on my head.  So no hats for me on gift giving occasions but socks will do quite nicely, they manage to stretch to fit all sizes of feet.  And since I did go to a single sex school and had to wear a uniform, please no navy blue knee-hi's.  Any kind of socks that are not navy will do, the wilder the colors the better.

But VP, I am still happy to own your fan club beanie, even it it doesn't fit.

I'll be happy to send you another one -- you could make a bra out of them! Very stylish, and fun to play with during boring meetings. You would be the center of attention. Send photos!

For those of you who are not members of the Fan Club, I should perhaps specify that the beanies have propellers on the top (like all beanies should). This might make the suggestion I offered in my previous post a little easier to visualize.

So do beanies come in sizes AA, B, C etc.?   Visualizing whirled B's is a twist (get it?) on an old joke.

Here is a photo of the beanie bra  (front view, strapless version):

   (x)(x)

I can't seem to get the propellers to spin so just turn your laptop quickly 360 degrees repeatedly to get the full effect. Those of you with desktops may just have to use your imagination since you may hurt yourself turning a heavy monitor 360 degrees quickly.

(Or should that be affect? I used to have this sorted out but the other thread confused me on this!)
