Do you know if there's a wiki for creative writing searches? I've seen links there for comp & rhetoric and Lit, but not CW. Help?

As I said to loopid, be sure not to confuse the two wikis. If you want to ask about THAT wiki, ask on the "have you heard? wiki" thread: http://chronicle.com/forums/index.php/topic,30893.0.htmlVP

Thanks so much for this wiki - it's very helpful.
I noticed that there's still a blank under "Should I send all my student evaluations & syllabi, or should I be selective?"
If anyone in the know ever had a chance to add that part, I'd like to suggest a sub-question: "The ad just says 'syllabi' - does that mean ones I've actually used or ones I'd like to use to teach the coursework mentioned in the ad?"
Searching previous posts turned up answers, but they were buried in a bunch of different threads. And I'm still not sure what I'm going to do.

The CV Doctor on the Chronicle Careers page is incredibly helpful for those looking for guidance and good, general advice.

I can not rate the 'Academic's Support Kit' highly enough. I certainly credit the section on 'Building Your Academic Career' for helping me successfully get a Lecturing post in the UK. The book provided similar advice to that found on this website, but it was clear form and well presented. The 'Academic's Support Kit' is a series of book published by Sage and authored by: Rebecca Boden (University of the West of England) Debbie Epstein (Cardiff University, UK) and Jane Kenway (Monash University, Australia). The books/chapters cover the following topics i) Writing for Publication ii) Building Networks iii) Building Your Academic Career iv) Teaching and Supervision v) Getting Started on Research and vi) Winning and Managing Research Funding. It is a great resource for emerging academics.

I added (Call or email the school’s reference librarian as faculty salary is often matter of public record and you can find out the exact amount faculty are paid.) to the "How can I find out the approximate salary range for a position?" FAQ.

We don't yet have campus interviews scheduled in our department--but I expect we will have them soon. Should faculty who are "in the know" post on Wiki--or just applicants? Our SC is pretty circumspect, but soon, they will have to tell us something :)

You're in the wrong Wiki thread for that. You want the "Have you heard? Wiki" thread. VP
