Paper clips, hand lotion, two business card cases, note pads, and business cards from book publishers.

Not terribly exciting.  No weapons.

Hand lotion, deodorant, ibuprofen, vitamin C, gum, lip balm, t-shirt (for when the heat is too high), sweater and socks (for when the AC is too high), microwaveable heat pack  (to ease the back pain from sitting at the desk), band-aids, candy, nuts, tea-bags

Also, pens, envelopes, white-out, staples, paperclips (for the job aps), expensive CV paper (also for job aps, even though i am now convinced the SCs don't care).

No weapons, alcohol on rare occasions - it never lasts long.

In the center drawer:
Cadbury dark chocolate bar
Advil
Paper clips, staples and stapler
Paper work for the student organization I advise
Chalk
Pens and Pencils
Card with my secret code to make long distance calls
Organizer/calendar

Left side, top:
Longenburger sooper soup mug (purple) with lid
Empty and full cans of Diet Mt. Dew
Pay stubs

Left side, middle:
Old calendar sheets
Leftover paperwork from past classes
Leftover handouts from workshops

Left side, Bottom :
Catch-all for things I will need for tenure--programs, course evals, grants, etc. etc.  I sort and file it when it gets full.   Things go into three areas in the file cabinet:  teaching, research and service.

Right side, top:
Dead laptop
Computer cables
Original computer disks for when the auditors come through
Box of business cards
Hand lotion
Paperwork for students who took an incomplete

Right side, bottom:
This is a file drawer with papers for the courses I teach and current administration needed for the program that I direct.
Oh, also a partial can of paint in case my wall needs "touched up".

Not a whole lot. I feel like I haven't moved in yet. Despite all the posters all over the walls hiding the dismal "institutional blue" paint.

You know, there isn't a person on this forum who doubts that Pry is telling the truth.

In my desk the usual office crap plus:
-magnifying glass for deciphering  old documents
-energy bars and those tuna fish lunch "kits"
-bottle of whiskey for late nights
-bottle of Baileys for spiking coffee
-hammer, nails, and picture hangers
-fertilizer spikes for my plants

Almost nothing is in there now. I have a stapler and some feminine products, but I had to clean out my desk last year.

You see, a family of mice discovered the protein bars in my desk drawer and ate them. Yes, they ate through the metallic cover on the bars and ate them. Then they dropped special things all over the inside and outside of my desk. So, I advise against the food you are keeping in there. Yes, this was my desk at work and not home.

I do still have several boxes of floppy disks with data on them that I don't have the heart to throw away, change, business cards, pictures, and some videos I show in classes. I also have some coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, and twisted pair that I use for samples to show in class.

13 black sarasa pens, 0.7.

2 yellow post-it note pads.

2 chewed, dull Ticonderoga pencils.

1 dried White Out bottle.

37 cents.

2 boxes of paper clips, regular and large.

17 binder clips: 4 mini, 3 small, 5 large, 5 jumbo.

1 crushed tampon.

1 big pink eraser.

1 small bottle of Scope.

3 rubber bands.

3 drawers full of papers I will never look at again.

1 yellow pad.

1 3x5 card box.

1 red folder.

1 drawing from crazybatgirl when she was younger.

No mice.

No food.

No alcohol.

No wonder I'm bored at work.

I had the same problem.  Mice discovered my granola bars.  They nibbled little pieces of said granola bars.  Mouse poop abounded.
