We do indeed offer compensation to faculty who wish to develop an online course.  We feel this spurs faculty to offer a course online but not before they go through an application process.

The INTERNET has become a golden opportunity for pedagogia. Anyone who  can exhibit skill at using it in a manner that creates understanding with a minimum of disruption (like crashinbg the car trying to get to class on time or killing eachother for a parking spot) deserves real doe. Such a prof will prove him/herself to be profitable to any institution, for the number of students he/she can handle rises in proportion with his/her pedagogic genius.

Now here, FINALLY, is academia that can be both accountable and worthy of whatever reminution it gets!
