I'm looking for information on life and academics in Puerto Rico, once I've applied for a job at a major Univ. there. Is it a nice place to live?

Last I heard Puerto Rico was part of the US. So why is this question in this forum? (PS> If you say, because it is 'over seas' to get there, then why is canada part of this forum, unless the great lakes are considered 'seas'?)

I'm in the US but I come from another country so Puerto Rico is overseas for me regardless.
