OK...  Does anyone know aout University of the Virgin Islands?  It is a regionally accredited US institution, located in paradise.

I've heard they have trouble recruiting faculty.  Is this true??  (Seems like they could have their pick.)

Anyone there right now or worked there recently or had friends there??

Thanks!

I had a friend, who was not a prof, move to the VIs, and the downsides were (1) it was very expensive and (2) most people you run into are on vacation.

But it is indeed paradise for many people, and he's still there after 10 + years.

I think that is a wonderful opportunity. I am also seeking a faculty position overseas as well.  University of the Virgin Islands may be in one of my plans.
