Are you asking about theatre searches being filled? If you are I can say the Trinity job is filled.

I have only heard back from 3 out of 20+.  2 no's and one short list.  I'm not going to get anxious until around the end of January.

I have MLA interviews for the drama jobs at U. Toronto and Columbia College Chicago.  Other than that, I don't have any news about this year's jobs in drama.

I got a reject from Cornell & a weird note from USC saying that the search is ongoing & that my application is under consideration.

I haven't heard form many...   Just we "got your app" letters.

An email from UHM asking for some more info...

And I got a regect from the VAP at Oberlin....

Dartmoth indicated that they'd be doing something around the end of November - but I haven't heard anything else.

I've mostly applied to SLAC's not in CA.  I'm guessing with production schedules that much might not get going until January...

I'm also more acting/directing than history/ theory...  So no MLA.

Anyone else?????

Ok...  back to grading!

(PS I know I can't spell/ type - so please excuse any erros...)

You would be applying for the position my old mentor held until his retirement last year.

CSU's theatre program has grown considerably over the past 15 years since I was a student there.  It is a good department and has some exciting individulas teaching there.  The community has grown as well and the small independent theatres in Ft. Collins continue to produce exciting work.  There are also a couple of community theatres (meaning all that is good and bad about community theatre) in town.

It is also a beautiful place to live.  Although the over growth of Colorado has effected Ft. Collins almost as badly as Denver it is  close to the mountains, skiing, hiking, camping, great micro brews, ect. The schools are pretty good too if you have kids.

Hmmm, maybe I will apply.

Never mind everything I just said, it sucks, you don't want to work there, you would hate it, it is a dump!

Enjoy the holidays

I've sent out 12 so far and haven't heard anything yet. Has anyone heard from University of Denver?
To the person who mentioned MLA, are you talking about Drama lit jobs or theatre???

Hey hopeful, I'm Acting Directing too and haven't heard jack squat either. Who is UHM? I didn't even get a "we got your stuff" letter from Darthmoth, I brushed it off as one of those depts who didn't send out acknowledgment  letters. Now I'm wondering if I should follow up?
Jimbo, I think I'll be applying for the CSU.

Jimbo and Twanda - I already told you not to apply - school is a mess, location sucks, and now, I am going to apply and you have no hope - "evil laugh"  Seriously though - any idea when this was posted?

I have heard from Dartmouth - just the we got your stuff letter though.  From DU only the email conformation.
