I am an environmental attorney seeking a position teaching environmental studies at the undergraduate level. I have a M.S. in environmental science, in addition to my J.D. I also have some adjunct teaching experience.

I am aware that some academic disciplines have annual "meat markets" where employers and employees converge for informational interviews and résumé distribution. Are you aware of such a conference for environmental-science positions?

Without a current academic position and ongoing research projects, I am, not surprisingly, having difficulty breaking into the academic world. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for your help with this inquiry,

The National Environmental Careers Conference will be held in Boston in 2002. It's a wonderfully friendly conference and placement fair. For info see www.eco.org
