What a horror story.
For interest - how big is your document folder or whatever (excluding photos)
5.50 gb......

I'm feeling inadeqaute.  Mine's only 4.2 gig.  (As a woman, I never thought I'd be answering the "How big is yours?" question though)

You are all children! My dissertation data filled up about 24 GB; the thesis iteself barely fit on a CD-ROM. In my last year of research and writing, me and my students filled up about 40 Gigs.

About 1.2 GB, but those are bzipped2 tar files.
