I finished my Christmas shopping in August.  Got the same thing for everyone.  Wrapped in Christmas wrap to be mailed the day after Thanksgiving.
Disgusting, isn't it?
I do it this way every year because I have NO TIME to shop, wrap or mail at the end of the fall semester.

I am thinking hard about spending $44 on tents for Afghani quake survivors in the name of every adult in my family, through Unicef.  I hope they will understand.

No point; just being obnoxious about already having it done.

Everyone, give some money to Habitat for Humanity, so New Orleans may have some houses for people to move back into.

Each Christman my wife and I always donate to some humanitarian organization (she's Jewish, so she does not get into the spirit of the season). This year, after hearing about the nice trips to beach resorts in Syria and other tourist places offered to prisoners by our thoughtful government,  it will be Amnesty International.
