At Rider University, we offer personal, purposeful, and engaging experiences that are relevant today and in the future. We are a student-centered university emphasizing high quality teaching and learning and a supportive community of dedicated faculty and staff who are committed to the success of our students.

Rider’s rich history has emphasized purposeful connections between academic study and education for the professions – creating meaningful linkages between the classroom and a variety of other learning experiences that will help build leadership skills and achieve success in life and work.

With roots dating back to 1865, Rider is a private, coeducational university located on 280 beautiful acres on two campuses in New Jersey – one in Lawrenceville and one in Princeton, both within easy driving distance to New York City and Philadelphia. Comprised of four academic colleges – the College of Business Administration; the College of Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences; the College of Continuing Studies; and Westminster College of the Arts – Rider provides dynamic undergraduate programs in more than 60 areas and graduate programs in 23 specialties.

The Rider community is nearly 6,000 students strong supported by more than 95 percent of faculty members holding a Ph.D. or the highest credential in their field. Twelve are Fulbright Scholars. Rider's faculty brings real-world experience to the classroom that elevates what is learned from mere theory to “real-world” knowledge. In addition to the professors based on the Lawrenceville campus, those at the world-renowned Westminster Choir College on the Princeton campus are preeminent musicians, skilled scholars, mentors and learning partners. They are not just dedicated to academic achievement, but also personal growth and life achievement.

Rider is ranked in the top tier of northern regional universities in the "Best Universities (Master)" category by US News and World Report; and is among the top 15% of colleges and universities in the nation in Princeton Review's 2010 edition of The Best 371 Colleges.   In music circles, Rider’s Westminster Choir College is considered one of the best of its kind in the world.

We invite you to become a part of the living, breathing, engaging environment that is Rider University.
