Audencia Nantes School of Management is one of Europe’s leading business schools, located in the city Time magazine named as the best place to live in Europe. Audencia, founded in 1900, is one of France’s elite Grande École higher education institutions, world-renowned for management education and research. It is housed in a 23,000 m² purpose-built campus opposite the University of Nantes. It is an internationally focused institution with students from over 50 countries and more than 120 international academic partners around the world. Just two hours from Paris, Nantes Métropole is a thriving modern city with old-world flair and has approximately 600,000 residents.
Building on more than 100 years of experience in business education, Audencia Nantes is among a tiny group of elite institutions in Europe. It has earned all three major international academic accreditations for business schools (Equis, AACSB and AMBA) – a feat that less than one per cent of business schools worldwide can match. Audencia Nantes was also the first French higher education institution to sign the United Nations’ Global Compact, and among the first institutions in the world to sign the UN’s Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), which had a hand in solidifying Audencia’s longstanding commitment to social responsibility values.
Audencia offers 17 degree programs of which five are entirely taught in English and one in three languages (Spanish, French and English). These include the International MBA, the Euro MBA, the Master in Management program, Master in Supply Chain and Purchasing Management, Master in Management Grande Ecole program and the European Master in Management (trilingual program). Specialized master’s taught in French include: Management of Sports Organisations; Marketing, Design and Creation; Management and International Competencies; Purchasing and Supply Chain Management; and Skills and Human Resources Management. The school runs three international master's degree programs in conjunction with partner business schools in Europe.
The Euro MBA distance-learning program, offered with a consortium of top European business schools, has been ranked by the Economist magazine as the fourth best distance-learning program in the world and second in the world for the quality of its students.
Annual enrolment exceeds 3,000 students, who are supported by more than 80 permanent teaching staff and researchers of which over 40% are non-French nationals. There is also a supportive and engaged alumni network, numbering over 16,000 management professionals. The school is one of the first choices for candidates who wish to pursue a French Grand École Master in Management program.
Entrepreneurship is a core focus for Audencia, and the school has therefore invested in a state-of-the-art Centre for Entrepreneurs, which recently opened on campus. This goes alongside significant investment in new technologies and the ongoing recruitment of staff who contribute innovative approaches to management theories and methods.
With students drawn from 54 countries, Audencia Nantes is a truly international management school. Over 60% of the classes are taught in English, and non-French teaching staff comprises 43% of all faculty members and lecturers. Audencia’s strong partnerships with over 120 leading academic institutions around the world have created a framework that, throughout the last 30 years, has enabled countless Audencia students to study abroad and international students to experience the top-level education at Audencia.
Audencia is located in the heart of beautiful Nantes, France, which has been rated “the best place to live in France” (Le Point magazine). Located just two hours from Paris and less than a 30 minute drive from the Atlantic coast, the city is home to a wide range of industries and businesses. It has traditionally been a hub of food processing and aeronautics, and also features emerging industries like information technology and biotech.
