U. of Phoenix Withdraws Application for License to Operate in New Jersey

The University of Phoenix has withdrawn its request for a license to operate in New Jersey, after vehement opposition from many of the state's public and private colleges. But officials at the for-profit institution promised to be back after making changes to their application that they said would better meet the state's tough licensing regulations.
