Carnegie Foundation's President Announces Plans to Retire Next Year

Lee S. Shulman, president of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, announced on Monday that he will retire in August 2008. He said he had always planned to leave the presidency after 10 or 12 years as the work he envisioned neared completion.
