Federal Government Upgrades Assessment of Gallaudet U., but Will Monitor Shortcomings

After finding a year ago that Gallaudet University was "ineffective" in keeping and graduating students, the federal government has upgraded its evaluation of the institution's performance to "adequate" over all, even though it says the university has made only slight progress in improving in key areas.
