Nature Ends Experiment With Open Peer Review, as Responses Are Disappointing

The editors of the journal Nature have ended their experiment with open review. A report posted last month on their Web site concluded that the comments they had received fell short of the kind of guidance that editors seek in deciding which papers to publish.
