Stanford Cracks Down on Drug-Company Gifts to Physicians

Gifts as small as drug samples and logo pens will be banned, and teaching hospitals and research laboratories will be mostly off limits to pharmaceutical- and biomedical-industry representatives under tough new restrictions announced on Tuesday by the Stanford University Medical Center.
