5 Big Publishing Houses Sue Google to Prevent Scanning of Copyrighted Works

The Association of American Publishers said on Wednesday that five of its members had filed a copyright-infringement lawsuit against Google because it is scanning books from top research libraries for the Google Library Project. The publishers' group is coordinating and paying for the lawsuit.
