The Chronicle of Higher Education: Colloquy

COLLOQUY
THE QUESTION
RESPONSES
BACKGROUND

I believe that if a person wants to be a part of "a religious cult" whether it exists on or off campus they should have the right to do so. Further more the association "religious cult" has no more meaning for my religion than yours. Just because some people disagree with the mainstream doesn't mean that they should be considered "a religious cult". What happened to freedom of religion? I see where this country is headed and frankly it scares the hell out of me, I see people of a mob mentality not only causing people of "non Christian religions" to feel uncomfortable but also threatened. "Christians" have burned people at the stake before and those with the group mentality of people like Pat Robertson and the Christian Coalition will do it again.
