The Chronicle of Higher Education: Colloquy

COLLOQUY
THE QUESTION
RESPONSES
BACKGROUND

Does anyone know whether The Maryland Task Force hearings were prompted by the practices of any specific religious group(s)?

The Chronicle provided links to previous articles that involved the International Churches of Christ (so-called "Boston Movement"), but I've seen no reference to that group or any others in the Maryland case. Does the Unification Church's (AKA "Moonies") legal involvement indicate they were targeted?
