The Chronicle of Higher Education: Colloquy

COLLOQUY
THE QUESTION
RESPONSES
BACKGROUND

I find it unconscionable that a contributor to this forum has cited "gay groups" as an example of campus organizations that are "dangerous to parents". The same commentator implies, obscenely, that "gay groups" somehow contribute to the risk of AIDS.

The only people to whom gay-rights organizations are "dangerous" are homophobes (i.e., bigots), whether they're parents or not.

These declarations of intolerance were made by an individual who claims to speak for an organization dedicated to religious "freedom". Very unappetizing food for thought.
