COLLOQUY Responses
|
|
When I moved from life as an attorney to academe, at age 29, I abandoned my "power suits" forever. I am now 35, but I look younger, dress casually, and have managed to be taken seriously by colleagues and students alike. Perhaps I am fortunate to live in the (casual) west, but I would like to believe one can earn respect in a learned community through means other than one's clothing designer.
