The Chronicle of Higher Education: Colloquy

COLLOQUY
THE QUESTION
RESPONSES
BACKGROUND

Are we, the institutions, to blame for the deaths of these students? Partly, yes. What have we historically done when the frat houses put us on the front page of the local and national newspapers? We push them farther and farther off campus. Prevention means inclusion. If we are going to "lay down the law" then we have to pull the fraternities and sororities back onto our campuses and make them feel a part of our community.
