There is little evidence to
support that
most undergraduates have any
idea
HOW to write. It would, in my
opinion,
behoove us to be sure they
have read
enough of the literature we hold
up as
'classic' by the nature of its
quality before
encouraging them to go it on
their own.
The idea here is to be able to
recognize
quality on their own before
trying to just
cover some paper with words.
