People who want to get rid of school mascots are conducting hatespeech.
I am getting sick and tired of all of these people who get offended at everything. They are simply saying "Look at me. See how important I am?".
These sports mascots have been around for a long time. People who are trying to get rid of them are doing so out of pure hatred for others. After you accomplish what you want, who will be better off? Will the status of the American Indian improve?
This effort is no different from those who demanded streets be renamed after Martin Luther King (at considerable expense to the business community). After it was all said and done, did anyone's status or situation in life change?
Get a life people and work for something that will do people some good....
