Had the cultural tables been turned, a copyright attorney would have been dispatched immediately to issue a cease and desist order preventing the unauthorized use of an esteemed and legally protected name. Once again, those who would "honor" Native people have done so without consent of the Tribal people affected. The name has simply been appropriated and flaunted in an unacceptable way.
Come, join us in the effort to end these inappropriate uses of Tribal names and images.
