It's rather late in the game to seek out the opinions of people with disabilities, isn't it? Having just read the story Sharlet wrote, I am appalled at the complete lack of any attempt to get input from disability rights activists or Disabilities Studies scholars. Would The Chronicle tolerate this kind of omission if the controversy affecting another minority group?

At the very least, you should make the short article you published after the protest at Princeton, which treated the concerns of disabled protesters with more respect than your current piece.
