State Appropriations for Colleges Increase at Highest Rate Since 1990

Much of the new money will pay for technology and improvements for 2-year institutions

State spending on higher education surged again this year, with much of the new money going to install new technology, upgrade community colleges, and provide additional funds to institutions that had complained of being shortchanged in the past.
