The Student Success Building will be located on 8.5 acres between Seventh and Ninth Sts. on the Auraria Campus, which houses two other higher education institutions in downtown Denver.

The First Year Success Program (FYS), to be housed in the building, plans to serve 3,000 students by 2012 when it opens. FYS helps freshmen transition to their sophomore year using learning communities and ongoing advisement from upper classmen.

Metro State Board of Trustee Chair Robert Cohen spoke about the College’s achievements in its 45-year history, including the construction of its first building on the Auraria Campus – the Student Success Building.
