Each year, the Frankfurt Children’s University draws around 12,000 students from the ages of 8 to 12. For one week in September, academics hold lectures that are especially tailored to the youngest “students” at the university.

Students, staff and citizens of Frankfurt partied at Goethe University’s “Settled In” summer party on July 1, 2011. For the past ten years, parts of the university have had a home on the Westend Campus.

The Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities “Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften”, which opened in 2009, is a center of international exchange. Located in the middle of the countryside in the Taunus town of Bad Homburg, academics from all over the world come here to engage in interdisciplinary discussions and broaden their research – even when sitting together at lunch.
