Texas A&M is one of a select group of universities to hold the triple land-grant, sea-grant and space-grant federal designations. The 5,200-acre campus is home to the George Bush Presidential Library & Museum as well as 49,000+ Aggies. Texas A&M also operates branch campuses in Galveston, Texas and Doha, Qatar.

Texas A&M University is located in College Station in the heart of Central Texas. While Texas A&M operates its own airport with daily connecting flights to Houston and Dallas/Ft. Worth, it’s also within easy driving distance of four major Texas cities: Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin.

Texas A&M’s 10 colleges offer 120 undergraduate degree programs and 250 master’s and Ph.D. programs, plus a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Texas A&M also was awarded an “A” grade for core course requirements by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni based on “education, not reputation.”

The 2,900 members of the Texas A&M faculty include Nobel, Wolf and Pulitzer Prize winners and 26 members of the prestigious National Academy of Sciences or the National Academy of Engineering.

Texas A&M and its affiliated agencies conduct research valued at more than $650 million. It’s ranked 3rd in the nation in research funding among universities without medical schools and is ranked among the top 20 universities nationally by National Science Foundation’s 2009 list of top 20 Academic Research Performers in the U.S. for research funding in science and engineering.

Recently, College Station—the home of Teas A&M University—was ranked by Kiplinger’s as a great city for raising a family. The twin cities of Bryan/College Station offer many of the amenities of a large metropolitan area in a more relaxed and community-oriented atmosphere.
