The Power of Greater Connections
Every aspect of a Rollins education encourages greater connections to people, ideas, and community. Faculty members choose Rollins because they love to teach. In the classroom and beyond, Rollins professors challenge students to broaden their interests, deepen their talents, and to be better prepared for graduate school and life.

An Organic Learning Environment
"We asked ourselves what would happen if students took four linked courses around one topic, and then did field work mid-semester?" explained Barry Allen, associate professor of environmental studies. Immersion courses are common for language programs but are rare in other disciplines.

Engaged Community, Engaged Learning
“Community involvement is integral to the Rollins experience of engaged learning,” said Laurie M. Joyner, dean of the faculty. Rollins has garnered multiple national and statewide awards for its service learning programs, including the first Florida Campus Compact award as the most engaged institution in the state. The Corporation for National and Community Service has again named Rollins College to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction.

Global Education Starts with Faculty
Rollins received national recognition in 2008 by The Chronicle of Higher Education for its efforts to internationalize its faculty. The President’s Internationalization Initiative enables every faculty member to have an international experience at least once every three years.

Better Prepared for Graduate School and Life
“The concept of student-faculty collaborative research is not unique, but at Rollins we’ve taken it to a different level. We engage more students, we involve all aspects of the liberal arts, and most importantly we spend more time collaborating with our students,” said Thomas Moore, A.G. Bush Professor of Science.
