Purdue Research Park Receiving National Acclaim
Purdue Research Park, an award-winning and nationally acclaimed business incubator, is creating jobs and opportunities based on discovery bubbling over from the university and other labs. The 725-acre park is the largest university-affiliated research park in the country. The park has more than 160 companies, 100 of which are tech-related companies sharing common ground, employs more than 3,100 people and works to find solutions in such areas as the efficient production of ethanol, nerve regeneration for paraplegics, and other medical technology areas.

Neil Armstrong Gives Papers to Purdue Libraries
The personal story of the first person to land a craft on the moon and to step on its surface will live forever - in the Purdue University Libraries.
Astronaut Neil A. Armstrong will give his alma mater personal papers that will serve as historic archives and scholarly resources, university President France A. Córdova announced Saturday (Nov. 1) during an event in the Purdue Memorial Union prior to the football game against Michigan.

Purdue Students Go Global With Service Projects
From Kenya to South Africa to Ecuador, Purdue University students are using the skills they learn in the classroom to help others around the world.
In 2008 more than 3,700 students participated in service-learning projects, which were incorporated into the curricula of approximately 175 courses. Purdue plans to expand the number of service-learning courses, through which students will work on projects locally and internationally.

Fingerprints Provide Clues to More Than Just Identity
Fingerprints can reveal critical evidence, as well as an identity, with the use of a new technology developed at Purdue University that detects trace amounts of explosives, drugs or other materials left behind in the prints.
