Stone, a research associate in the urban-studies department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is helping organizations create three-dimensional simulations for training workers to run power plants, make medical devices, and control pests. His chosen tools are a Wii remote, Nintendo’s innovative wireless controller for its video-game console, and the virtual world Second Life, according to an article today in Wired.
