Officials of Valdosta State University are trying to determine whether a computer hacker made off with any sensitive information when he or she broke into a campus server on Tuesday. The computer contained Social Security numbers and data on debit cards given to recent students and some former employees of the Georgia institution, but campus administrators say they don’t think any credit-card information was stored on the machine.
