University of California Jettisons Some Print Journals

Libraries in the University of California system are planning to cancel subscriptions to 540 print publications that are available in online databases, in an effort to save money that the university would rather spend acquiring new material. There will be one print copy of every journal at the system’s print archive, in Los Angeles, for users who demand to see hard copies. (Daily Bruin)
