Open source isn’t just for operating systems and system applications anymore. Technology students at the IT University of Copenhagen have posted the world’s first open-source beer recipe online, and they’re asking brew connoisseurs around the world to help them tweak the formula.
Version 1.0 of the drink is "a medium strong beer," according to the students’ Web site, "with a deep golden red color and an original but familiar taste." The recipe is licensed by Creative Commons, a group that aims to make scholarship and creative work freely available to the public. (Associated Press)
