Strides For Open Access in Britain

A panel of British academics may have brought their universities closer to offering open access to research papers online. The group, which met with publishers and librarians this week at Southampton University, is encouraging researchers to maintain their own open access projects—by archiving their work and storing it online at university-run repositories.
