Blackboard is releasing a new tool that allows faculty members to share Internet bookmarks with fellow educators, letting experts in certain fields use the Web tools that researchers with like minds have discovered.
Called Scholar.com, it is included in Blackboard’s Learning System products. Scholar.com is similar to the popular del.icio.us Web interface that allows people to publicize any bookmarks they want to share with others. This one will be reserved for the education community, allowing historians to see what other historians use online. Students taking the same course can also use the system to share information. —Dan Carnevale
