The Kuali Foundation announced on Tuesday that it will release open-source software, Kuali Mobility Enterprise, to help colleges offer campus services on mobile devices. The foundation, a university-led project, plans to release the first version of its software in August. It will join a growing number of mobile-focused frameworks in higher education, including open-source projects by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California at Los Angeles and commercial efforts by Blackboard and Desire2Learn.
