QuickWire: Desire2Learn Loses Desire2Litigate

January 20, 2011, 7:26 pm

Desire2Learn is ending its legal fight over a course-management contract in Utah. The educational-technology company had sued after losing a bid to provide online-learning software to public colleges and universities in the state. But Desire2Learn released a statement today saying that, “out of respect for institutions in Utah,” it is “immediately dropping this appeal.” The statement continued, “We want to reassure everyone that our focus continues to be on improving education.” You can read the entire release here, in the comments section of our original blog post about the case.
