On Facebook, Professorial Profiles Proliferate

A number of professors and officials at James Madison University are creating profiles on Facebook, the social-networking site that has traditionally been dominated by undergraduates. As the lecturers told The Breeze, James Madison's student newspaper, the site helps them keep in touch with old students and learn about new ones.

The students interviewed by The Breeze seemed supportive of their professors' forays into Facebook. But it's a safe bet that there are other students out there who aren't so keen on the idea of adults invading their turf.
