The University of New Mexico is preparing to sue a private computer school that calls itself GeekUNM, arguing that the online institution’s name violates the university’s trademark.
GeekUNM opened early in 2005, but campus officials say they had never heard of the school until this year, when an unsatisfied customer called the University of New Mexico, thinking the two institutions were affiliated. (United Press International)
