The past month hasn’t been especially kind to advocates of Net neutrality — a principle, supported by many scholars and consumer groups, that would prohibit broadband carriers from favoring certain network traffic with fast-lane delivery to people’s computers.
But now a bit of good news for Net neutrality’s supporters: The idea seems to be getting a more serious look on Capitol Hill. A group of House Democrats and Republicans has introduced a new bill, called the Internet Freedom Nondiscrimination Act, that would make Net neutrality enforceable under antitrust law. (CNET News)
