Napster, the legal music-downloading library, has already made its way onto some dorm-room computers. Now the service is making a bid to show up on college students’ cellphones as well.
The company has announced that it expects to start a digital-music service for cellphones next year along with Ericsson, a Swedish mobile-phone provider. It may be an interesting idea, some analysts say, but it is doubtful that many people will pawn their iPods in favor of music-playing phones. (Wired News)
