Loose Fingertips Reveal Passwords

Researchers at the University of California at Berkeley have
demonstrated that the sound of computer keystrokes can reveal, with
almost unerring accuracy, what is being typed. The researchers
accomplished the feat using low-tech methods and inexpensive hardware. (The Chronicle, subscription required)
