Learning Spaces for the Millenials

Architects and college planners must consider the needs of a new generation of students who are deeply engaged with technology, say speakers at a conference on the campus of the future.

Among their recommendations: Some spaces should be flexible, with movable furniture that allows students to spread out. There should be ample space for writing and working, and there should also be a good deal of natural light, which is coveted by students.—Scott Carlson
